Why Outdoor Concrete Fails in the Desert

Arizona patios and driveways take the worst of both extremes: 160°F+ surface temps in summer and rapid cooling overnight. This thermal cycling cracks concrete and delaminates paint. Add monsoon rain driving moisture vapor through the slab, UV radiation bleaching any color, and blowing dust that scratches like sandpaper — most off-the-shelf coatings don't survive a single year outdoors here. Our system is built for all of it, whether it's a backyard patio or a front driveway.

System Specifications

What Makes Our Outdoor System Different

Thermal Shock Resistant

Handles 80°F temperature swings between day and night without cracking or delaminating.

Common Questions

Patio & Driveway Coating FAQs

Yes. We use the same UV-stable system everywhere. Covered and exposed sections get identical treatment.

We fill every crack with flexible polyurea filler before coating. Small hairline cracks are cosmetically covered. Structural cracks are addressed and we’ll tell you if anything needs a concrete contractor first.

Normal furniture movement won’t scratch the topcoat. We recommend felt pads on chair and table legs to prevent wear marks over years of heavy use.

Garden hose and a push broom. For stubborn dirt, mild dish soap and water. That’s it.

Yes. Our polyaspartic system is UV-stable and rated for 160°F+ surface temperatures. It won't yellow, chalk, or soften in full Arizona sun.

Absolutely. Unlike epoxy, polyaspartic doesn't soften under hot tire pickup. You can park on it the same day we finish.
